Christian life coaching for believers who have no peace, even though they believe.
A ten-week walk from carrying it alone to still, seeking and serving, with Chris beside you.
- “I have confessed it to God a hundred times, so why don’t I feel free?”
- “I don’t know how to make things right with the people I hurt.”
- “I keep asking God to bless my plans, and I am worn out.”
- “I am afraid all the time, and I hide it well.”
- “I am holding everything together, and I can’t let go of any of it.”
- “I can’t tell what God actually wants me to do today.”
Thirty minutes. No pitch, and no test of what you believe.
Three movements, all from the Bible
Every week of the walk is built on one passage, and the passage comes first.
1. Be Still
Be still, and know that I am God.
Psalm 46:10Stop fighting what is. God is providing in it. This is where we deal with fear, with contentment, and with asking God to bless plans we made without him.
2. Seek First
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5 to 6Lay down our own plans and ask what God would have us do today, then do it. This is where we face what we have done, the past, and the plans we keep holding on to.
3. Serve
Whoever wants to be first must be your servant, just as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve.
Mark 10:44 to 45Fill the gaps in front of us, starting with the people we have hurt. This is where we confess to another person, go and be reconciled, and spend ourselves on others.
The ten weeks
One passage a week, one short written assignment, one 50-minute call, and messages between calls.
- Week 1 Matthew 11:28 to 30. The check-up together, the story so far, and where the walk is going.
- Week 2 Psalm 46:10. Naming what is being fought, and stopping.
- Week 3 Philippians 4:6 to 7. Fear, prayer with thanksgiving, and the peace that follows.
- Week 4 Philippians 4:8. Think on these things: a daily thought rhythm.
- Week 5 Proverbs 3:5 to 6. Laying down our own understanding and our plans.
- Week 6 Matthew 6:33. Asking each morning what God would have us do today.
- Week 7 Psalm 139:23 to 24. Letting God search us, and saying what we find out loud (James 5:16).
- Week 8 Matthew 5:23 to 24. Going to be reconciled with one person.
- Week 9 Mark 10:45. Serving in the gaps in front of us.
- Week 10 2 Corinthians 5:18. The rhythm that lasts: prayer, seeking, serving, every day.

About Chris

I’m Chris. I design software systems for a large energy company in Bergen, Norway. My job is making sure nothing goes wrong, which tells you something about how I used to run the rest of my life. I’m married to Heidi, and we have kids who keep us honest. I’ve been a Christian most of my life. I prayed, I read my Bible, I served on Sundays, and for years I had no peace. I was afraid most of the time and good at hiding it, and I kept asking God to bless plans I had already made.
What changed me was not a new resolution. It was taking Scripture at its word. “Be still, and know that I am God.” “Lean not on your own understanding.” “Seek first the kingdom.” “Be anxious for nothing.” I stopped running my own life and started each morning asking what God would have me do that day, and then doing it. The peace that came was not a feeling I worked up. It is the peace Paul says passes understanding, and it arrived when I got out of the way.
For years now I’ve walked others through the same passages, one on one, over coffee or a phone call, and watched the same peace arrive in them. That is what The Peace of God is. Ten weeks in the Bible, with me beside you.
I’m not here to argue doctrine or to get you to sign anything. If you already believe God is there and you’re tired of carrying it alone, this is for you.
Not ready to talk? Start with the check-up.
The Peace of God check-up is nine yes-or-no questions. It takes about three minutes. At the end you see which of the three movements you are most stuck in, with the passage to start from and one thing to do today.
Who this is not for
If your struggle is an addiction, you need a fellowship built for it, and I will gladly point you to one. If you need therapy, medical care or crisis care, please go to your doctor, a licensed Christian counsellor, or a crisis line first.
Coaching sits alongside your local church and your pastor. It is never a replacement for them.
Talk it over, free
On the call we spend thirty minutes on where you are and whether this walk fits. You will not be pressed to decide.
